Watching and Not Speaking (Opinion piece on President Trump and President Zelensky)
We, as people try to understand emotions, thoughts, words, and body language. We also know the feeling of pure humiliation. Bullying and just straight up disrespect to anyone is not acceptable in my book. We as individuals are supposed to be able to communicate and disagree, without name calling, and berating one another. But today I watched the president of the “free world” show just how… sorry to say; ill-informed of how a real president is supposed to act in front of the world. Whose life involves and relies on money and business deals. Not on the best for others, but for himself. Diplomacy, World Etiquette, Knowledge on History, and not just profits, underhanded deals, and lies. For a person who holds so much power, and has no idea how to help others, but only those who kisses your pinky finger, it saddens me. I tried my best to be quiet, to watch and give this president a fair chance of explaining and showing how he could make this place “great again.” So far, he has done exactly what I have expected him to do. Cause Havoc and Chaos.
I try to have a heart. I try to accept and pray things will be better. But, how can you sit and watch people lose everything? How can you not care that people are hurting, starving, without jobs, and have no where to go? How can you make decision based on what other people say, and not understand what’s happening around you? Well, I guess it’s easy if you carry a lot of money and can be persuaded for paper.
The war in Ukraine is not a tv gameshow. The Russians and the people around the world are not reading from a script for a reality paycheck. People lives are at stake. Hundreds-of-thousands of innocent lives has been lost. Why? For land, that doesn’t belong to anyone, but the Ukrainian people. Minerals that belong to the land that those people sit on and survive off of. How dare, anyone try to assert authority over things that isn’t theirs.
Negotiations, discussions, and fair treatment is due to everyone. It is not a crime to love your country. To fight for your people and refuse to back down to someone who means to harm you and the world around you. I command President Zelensky on his bravery to keep trying for his country. For people to be free, and live in a place where they call home.
We lost almost a million people to Covid -19 during this president first term. Why? We are losing people who have been doing their jobs for years, and went to school for their experiences. Why? Companies, and schools are able to be descriminate in who they higher and goes to school. Why? Black history, the Holocaust, and other studies are being denied because it invokes emotion of how the past effected so many lives. Why?
You can’t change people, but we can say something. This is a free world, and we shouldn’t allow hate to dictate the future. We shouldn’t let money be a ruler of our mind, our position and power that we have. We all have voices. We shouldn’t be afraid to use them. Time is a valuable asset. We too can be in the Ukrainians position. Think about that.
Love one another. Protect one another. Pray, and keep God first.
